Vacuum precision casting is a casting process in which metals are melted, poured, and crystallized in a vacuum chamber. Can reduce the gas content in metals, prevent metal oxidation and trachoma. Vacuum precision casting is a casting method that inserts a gate (or liquid riser) into a liquid metal, and then vacuums the mold to create negative pressure inside the mold cavity. Under negative pressure, the molten metal rises along the gate (or liquid riser), fills the mold, and solidifies, resulting in the casting.
The process principle of this precision casting method is to place the investment shell in a sealed chamber, lower the sealed chamber, immerse the straight groove in liquid metal, and then start the vacuum pump vacuum sealed chamber at the same time as the liquid. After the solidification of the shell casting, the vacuum state is relieved, and the residual metal liquid in the spout returns to the furnace to obtain the vacuum cast casting through sand removal.
Taking the CLA method as an example, the shell made by ordinary investment process is placed in the sealing chamber, the sealing chamber is lowered, and the liquid metal is inserted into the nozzle. Start the vacuum pump to vacuum the sealing chamber and fill it with liquid metal. When the metal liquid inside the shell solidifies, the sealing chamber is connected to the atmosphere to eliminate vacuum, and the unsealed metal liquid in the spout flows back into the crucible. Then remove the shell sand and the casting. In addition to the CLA method, there is also the pouring vacuum precision casting method, which means that after the mold is filled, the mold is poured out, and the remaining metal liquid in the spout provides supplementary material for the solidification of the casting. This method is easy to achieve continuous production and has high production efficiency.
