What are the temperature requirements for precision casting
Release time:2021-09-23Views:510

The casting ambient temperature of precision castings usually refers to the ambient temperature of the hard alloy steel liquid in the static furnace, which is usually 60~120 ℃ higher than the ambient temperature of the alloy liquid line. For alloys with a high tendency for initial crystallization of carbide oxides, the ambient temperature for precision casting should be raised as much as possible. For alloys with a greater tendency towards cracking, such as flat ingots of LC4 alloy, the ambient temperature for precision casting can be moderately reduced. For industrial pure aluminum, the ambient temperature for precision casting is usually adjusted within the range of 690-710 ℃, with low temperatures in summer and high temperatures in winter.

As the temperature of the precision casting environment increases, the length of the liquid cavity in the billet usually increases, the columnar crystal structure tends to expand, the waste of cracks increases, and the degree of segregation floating objects on the surface layer of the billet often increases. In fact, for every 30 ℃ increase in the ambient temperature of precision casting, the average temperature of the liquid hole only increases by 1-2 ℃. Although the ambient temperature of the molten steel in the cave has only increased by 2 ℃, it has a significant impact on the microstructure and defects of the ingot. In the production and manufacturing of aluminum rods with a diameter of about 10 millimeters, due to high-speed precision casting, the environmental temperature of precision casting is too high, and the upper surface of the aluminum rod is prone to frequent and serious skin problems, such as fish scales, and even inability to condense and aluminum leakage.

If the ambient temperature of stainless steel precision casting is too low, the dry solid area of the crescent plate will expand, forming a surface layer of cold insulation, causing deep expansion. It may also lead to sequential crystallization of the ingot volume, resulting in significantly uneven steel ingot structure and a decrease in physical properties. As the temperature of the precision casting environment decreases, the width of the liquid-solid transition zone increases, the viscosity of the steel increases, and the exhaust and contraction conditions during the solidification process of the hard alloy deteriorate. In the production and manufacturing of aluminum rods with a diameter of about 10 millimeters, although the precision casting speed is too fast, when the ambient temperature of precision casting is too low, the low surface aluminum rods are still prone to cold insulation problems, and even lead to the installation of guide holes into asbestos sheets that cannot be pulled or the aluminum rods are separated.
