Precision casting is a general term for the process of obtaining precision dimensional castings. Compared to traditional sand casting technology, precision casting produces castings with more precise dimensions and better surface smoothness.

Basic Overview

It includes investment casting, ceramic casting, metal casting, pressure casting, and lost foam casting.

The most commonly used one is investment casting, also known as wax loss casting: selecting suitable investment materials (such as paraffin) to manufacture investment molds; Repeatedly apply refractory coating and sprinkle refractory sand on the investment mold, harden the shell and dry it; Dissolve the internal mold to obtain the mold cavity; Baking the shell to obtain sufficient strength and burning off residual investment materials,; Metal materials required for pouring; Solidification cooling, sand cleaning after shelling, in order to obtain high-precision finished products. According to product requirements, heat treatment, cold processing, and surface treatment should be carried out.

The general production process of casting can be divided into wax pressing, shell making, pouring, post-treatment, and inspection

Wax repair - correcting wax molds

Group Tree - Group the wax mold into a tree

Shell making includes (hanging sand, hanging slurry, air drying)

Pouring includes (roasting, chemical analysis, also known as spectroscopy, pouring, shaking shell, cutting gate, grinding gate)

Post treatment includes (sandblasting, shot blasting, correction, acid washing)

Inspection includes (wax inspection, initial inspection, intermediate inspection, and finished product inspection)
