How to correct the deformation of precision castings during processing
Release time:2022-02-14Views:449

In the process of precision machining and manufacturing, precision castings should be polished to clean the surface defects of machinery and equipment. After polishing, the specifications of the castings should also effectively apply the dimensional tolerance standards of the casting specifications. If the castings undergo deformation during the production and processing process, how should they be corrected? Actually, it can be corrected by mechanical means. Next, the editor will share it with you!

Precision castings can be directly repaired by welding repair in the application process. When the machine equipment applies its tungsten inert gas arc welding repair, the welding repair surface area and welding repair depth should comply with its standards. The welding repair surface area in the machine equipment refers to the expanded surface area.

Precision castings cannot be repaired by welding at the same location more than three times. The distance between the casting and the edge of the welding area, which involves the opposite welding area, must not be less than the sum of the diameters of the adjacent welding areas. However, for castings supplied in the heat treated and tempered state, heat treatment and tempering should be carried out in their original state after welding.

After heat treatment and tempering, the mechanical properties of precision castings should be properly inspected. The surface area of the argon arc welding zone in the castings should not be less than 2cm2, and the distance between the machine and equipment welding zones should not be less than 100mm. In application, it is not necessary to undergo heat treatment and tempering, but it is important to note that there should not be more than 5 areas on a precision casting.

Precision castings must not have cracks or incomplete penetration in the welding repair area. In all welding areas, castings are allowed to have pores or three impurities with a diameter not exceeding 2 millimeters and not exceeding 1/3 of the wall thickness. The edge distance of machinery and equipment is not effective by 10 millimeters.

Precision castings that work in corrosive media and atmosphere are not allowed to use welding flux during welding repair by machinery and equipment. Infiltration treatment should be carried out on dense precision castings according to allowable standards.
